Bored Ape Yacht Club sells out its 10,000-NFT collection

Yuga Labs opened the Bored Ape Yacht Club mint on April 23, 2021 at 0.08 ETH (about $190) per ape, but sales languished until NFT trader Pranksy promoted it around April 30, after which all 10,000 apes sold out within 12 hours. The cartoon primates went on to define the PFP craze and, briefly, a floor price in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, before the inevitable mean reversion.
